After three years of staying away from cost cutters I had to get my haircut.... and I wish I would have waited a couple more days to go to my normal place. The woman was nice who cut my hair but totally "franked it up"!!! Cost cutters needs to get better styles.
The staff was very friendly, but they screwed up my hair! I got it dyed there and I asked for a silver blonde balayage, I showed pictures of what I wanted and she did it and wouldn't let me see it until she turned me around in the chair and it was to say that it didn't turn out exactly as she expected.... It was a greenish blondish, brownish color, she said the color didn't react to my hair right but even where she put the color in my hair was not what I wanted, she said to come back the next day so she could fix it and I did, I came the next day and showed her the same pictures of where I wanted the color to be put in and everything, again she didn't let me see my hair until she turned me around in the chair and when she did, I saw my hair was dark grey! I was shocked and didn't know what to say... She said " oh if you use some purple shampoo it will lighten a few shades" I walked out of the salon still shocked that my hair was dark grey and didn't really know what to believe or say. I got home and looked at my hair still seeing that where she put the color wasn't even where I wanted, she chose the wrong shades and didn't put the color where I wanted, I didn't even bother to open the expensive purple shampoo, I knew it wasn't going to fix all of the dye mistakes that she did I went back in the salon very upset and asked them how I could get the dye out of my hair, and another lady used clarifying shampoo and conditioner on my hair to get out the grey, a lot of it came out thankfully, but my hair was the greenish, brownish, blondish color again. All of the ladies at the salon were like " oh it's so cute" "I love it". I knew what they were trying to do. I got out of there and went to a different place to get it fixed and it finally looks nice and I am happy with it. GURL, DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR DONE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mabey it would be fine if you were a guy getting a trim, BUT THAT'S IT. I will never go here again.
I got a perm (my 5th one) and the stylist that has done all my other perms moved to a different salon in Madison, so a different girl did it. And the curls turned out great. But she fried my hair off on my widows peak the size of a quarter, down to stubble! Needless to say I won't be returning again.
Worst experience in my 70 years. I came in at 10:12 AM. Three people standing at desk, no customers. One person asked what I needed and I said a haircut. She looked at the schedule and said next client was at 11 am and no one a offered to give me a haircut. I said, there are three of you here and no one scheduled for 45 minutes and no one can help me. Finally, begrudgingly, Brittany offered. She clipped the back of my head as I asked and then seemingly was done. I had to ask her to trim crown and side. I am a cancer patient who has very little hair and this staff made me feel as if i was intruding on their day.
The management needs some training.
The manager Brittany was amazing. Super approachable and relatable! She is super talented with hair color!
Brittany didn't act interested and talked over me to the other staff. You just lost a good customer and tipper and I will tell others how I was treated and report my experience to corporate
